This body of work was first developed during the 2025 residency at Bierumer School in the Netherlands. In the attic exhibition space, painted columns were installed by wrapping them around the site’s existing pillars. Their surfaces were carved with explosion drawings, while discarded bricks originally intended for construction were attached. Paper doll fragments found on site were also incorporated into the structures.
These materials, which failed to fulfil their intended function, were absorbed into the work, suspended between past use and future possibility.
